Frequently Asked Questions
Here at Golden Garage Doors, we try to anticipate questions you might have about our products and services and provide the answers here. If you need additional information, please send your questions to our email address at firstname.lastname@example.org
1. When one spring breaks, should I replace both springs?
Yes, it is recommended that you replace both springs at the same time, since both springs are likely the same age. This will save you money by preventing an additional service call in the near future.
2. My door seems heavy, what is causing this?
You probably need to have the door balanced, and the tension reset on the springs.
3. I need a new opener, which one do you recommend?
We recommend the Lift Master line of garage door openers, they are the most reliable, user friendly and are backed by a lifetime warranty on the motor and belt when we install the 1/2hp models and 1 year warranty on all moving components.
4. I have to hold down the wall button to close my garage door, what should I do?
It is most likely your photo sensors are unaligned. If you have a blinking light on one side, you have to adjust them until you have a solid light; if that does not work, give us a call to schedule service.
5. What is a Tune-Up?
Our Tune-Ups include a thorough 13-point inspection, lubrication of moving parts and some adjustments.
6. What type of paint can I use on my garage door?
We suggest you contact a reputable, licensed painting contractor.
